MY STORY

At six weeks pregnant with my second child, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the left breast. During my pregnancy, I underwent a lumpectomy and reconstructive surgeries, chemotherapy, delivered a healthy baby boy in May 2023 (!!), then resumed chemotherapy. This has been a trying time but I am nonetheless grateful for this journey as my relationship with Jesus is deeper than ever before. I could not have gotten this far without the many friends, colleagues, family members, and medical team who have shared this burden with me.

MY JOURNEY

  • November 2023

    Begin radiation November 15th.

  • September 2023

    Finished chemotherapy.

  • June 2023

    Resumed chemotherapy.

  • May 2023

    Jasmine welcomed a HEALTHY baby boy!

  • January 2023

    Chemo started. Four rounds before "taking a break to give birth".

  • December 2022

    Lumpectomy and reconstructive surgeries while 4 months pregnant.

  • October 2022

    Early in her second pregnancy, Jasmine received a diagnosis of stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma in her left breast.
